Day 1 – Bucharest- Sibiu
From Bucharest, the trip goes to Transfăgărășan, rated among the world’s top ten most beautiful roads. On the way we have a delicious lunch in Curtea de Argeș, a charming mountain village. Furthermore, we stop at Vidraru dam and spend some time on this impressive structure. We end the day in Sibiu, which is considered one of Romania’s most beautiful cities, and was Europe’s cultural capital in 2007. We explore the city a bit on our own until we find each other in the evening for dinner together.
Day 2 – Sibiu- Măgura
After a delicious breakfast we get an exciting city-tour with our local guide.
We continue our journey towards the village of Bran where the exciting and fascinating “Dracula” castle is located. Before we visit the castle we will have a nice lunch with a spectacular view.
Our journey goes onwards to the beautiful Măgura village where we will enjoy peaceful village life, nature and tranquility. We end the day with a delicious organic dinner prepared exclusively from local sources.
Day 3 – Măgura- Brașov
We spend the morning in Măgura with a hike in the beautiful surroundings, followed by a lovely lunch before departure.
On the way to Brașov we visit the impressive fortress in Râșnov, furthermore we take the trip over Poiana Brașov which is a popular ski destination in the winter. Once in Brașov we check in at the venerable Casa Wagner and the evening is free to explore this incredibly charming city.
Day 4 – Brașov- Bucharest
After breakfast we get an informative tour of this fortified medieval town where we have spent the night. An introduction to the history of Saxony from our guide will deepen the high walls and inventive systems built by the first inhabitants of Brașov.
We stop for lunch as appropriate.
Perhaps the most special part of the journey awaits us on the way back to Bucharest, namely a tour of the Castle of Peleș in Sinaia. With its 160 rooms, it is a masterpiece of German Renaissance architecture and something that is really worth experiencing.
